How does Acnecide Work?

Acnecide Gel contains 5% benzoyl peroxide, which works by killing acne-causing bacteria and unblocking pores on the skin. Benzoyl peroxide penetrates the pores, releasing oxygen that eliminates bacteria. Additionally, it helps to reduce the excess oil and dead skin cells that clog pores, thus preventing the formation of new spots.

  • Do not use Acnecide Gel if you are allergic to benzoyl peroxide or any other ingredients in the gel.
  • Before using this medication, inform your doctor if you have any medical conditions, especially eczema or other skin conditions.
  • Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight or artificial UV light (sunlamps) while using this product, as it can increase the risk of skin irritation.
  • Use sunscreen and wear protective clothing when outdoors to minimize exposure to the sun.
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this medication.
  • Avoid using other topical acne products simultaneously, as they may increase skin irritation.
  • Keep out of reach of children. Store at room temperature away from light and moisture.

How to Use Acnecide Gel

  • Cleanse the affected area with a mild cleanser and pat dry before applying the gel.
  • Apply a thin layer of Acnecide Gel to the entire affected area once or twice daily, or as directed by your doctor.
  • Start with one application per day, then gradually increase to two times per day if needed.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the gel.
  • Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and other mucous membranes. If accidental contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
  • Continue using the gel regularly for the best results. It may take a few weeks to notice an improvement in your skin.

Acnecide Gel Ingredients

Each gram of Acnecide Gel contains:
  • Benzoyl peroxide 5% (50 mg) as the active ingredient.
Other inactive ingredients include: docusate sodium, disodium edetate, carbomer, glycerol, propylene glycol, acrylates copolymer, colloidal anhydrous silica, sodium hydroxide, and purified water.
