Nominating One of Our Branches through the NHS App
When you request a prescription online, you can have your prescription sent electronically to a pharmacy of your choice. This is called a nomination. You can nominate a pharmacy for your GP to send your prescriptions to. Your nominated pharmacy may be able to deliver your medicine to you or let you know when it’s ready to collect.
Once you nominate one of our pharmacies:
- you will no longer need to collect paper prescriptions from your GP surgery
- we will receive your prescriptions until you change or remove your nominated pharmacy
- any outstanding prescriptions you have ordered may still arrive at your current nominated pharmacy
How Our Repeat Prescription Delivery Service Works
In order to apply for our repeat prescription delivery service with one of Online Pharmacy Clinics‘s pharmacies you will need to nominate us as your chosen dispensary.
Prescription delivery services are helpful if you’re somebody who regularly relies on prescription medication, living with a long-term illness or disability, or you care for someone who does. Although NHS prescriptions are usually affordable (and sometimes even free), the process of collecting a prescription, taking it into your pharmacy and paying on a regular basis, can be time-consuming.
Our specialist delivery service allows you to have your medicines delivered directly to your home or work.
You will need to contact your GP practice and order your repeat prescriptions, letting the know that we are your nominated pharmacy.
Once we receive your prescription digitally from the GP along with your patient details, we will be able to send your medication out to you when you need them.
How much does the delivery service cost?
Our prescription delivery service is available on request and an additional fee may be applicable, therefore please contact the pharmacy to find out more. Some eligible patients will be able to claim free delivery. You will have to pay for your prescription items as usual.
